Its orange rubber sleeve provides shock, rain and pressure resistance rated to withstand a one-ton car. The 2.5-inch form factor measures .75 by 3.39 by 5.31 inches and weighs .66 lb.

USB 3.0 speed ceiling and backward compatibility

The drive uses a USB 3.0 interface with a theoretical maximum of 5Gbps, roughly four times faster than USB 2.0. Real-world throughput will be lower and depends on the host controller, cable quality and file mix. It remains fully usable on USB 2.0 ports at reduced speed, and the supplied cable is USB 2.0-compatible.
