The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built for office environments that need a space-saving PC with modern connectivity. It ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and uses an Intel Core i5-8500 six-core processor running at 3.0 GHz with 9 MB of L3 cache. The system includes 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe SSD for fast boot and application loading. Integrated Intel UHD 630 graphics drive up to two displays via dual DisplayPort outputs and a single VGA port.

Thermals and power in daily use

The 65 W processor is cooled by an internal air-cooling solution designed for the slim chassis. Under typical business workloads the fan runs quietly and the compact case dissipates heat without requiring additional ventilation space. Power draw stays within the processor’s rated envelope so the included power cord is sufficient for normal operation. No liquid cooling or supplemental fans are needed for standard productivity tasks.

Build integration and expansion

One USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, six USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports provide ample peripheral connectivity without hubs. Gigabit Ethernet is onboard while wireless networking is not included and must be added separately if required. The small footprint frees desk space and the NVMe slot is already occupied by the 1 TB drive leaving no internal M.2 capacity for a second NVMe SSD. Monitor, keyboard and mouse are not included and must be supplied by the buyer.
