The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s SFF is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running at 3.0 GHz up to 4.10 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 UDIMM memory and a 2.5-inch 1 TB solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse are included, making it ready for office deployment without extra peripherals.

Straightforward SFF installation

The chassis uses a standard SFF layout so the side panel removes with a thumb-screw and the 240-pin DDR4 slots are directly accessible. The 2.5-inch drive bay accepts the pre-installed SSD and can take a second drive if a bracket is sourced separately. The half-height PCIe slot is limited to low-profile cards, and the 65 W processor ceiling restricts discrete GPU upgrades.

SFF power and expansion limits

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives displays through the onboard video outputs and handles everyday business graphics. The 65 W TDP processor and compact power supply cap total system draw, so high-wattage add-in cards are not supported. Wireless connectivity comes from a USB dongle capable of 5 GHz operation, and the optical drive is a DVD-ROM unit.
