14-inch FHD Touch Ultrabook

This 14.0-inch Lenovo ThinkPad T480 or T490 ultrabook ships new with Windows 11 Pro. An 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor at 1.6GHz and 32GB of DDR4 memory drive the 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the display output while a 128GB SSD provides the boot volume.

Ports and expansion reality

Three USB 3.1 ports, one USB-C port, HDMI and RJ-45 Ethernet give wired and peripheral connectivity without dongles. Intel dual-band wireless with Bluetooth 4.1 covers cable-free links. The 128GB SSD leaves no internal 2.5-inch bay free, so extra local storage needs a USB drive or the optional SD card slot when present. No optical drive is fitted.

128GB SSD capacity limit

The 128GB drive holds the OS, core applications and a modest working set of documents. Large media libraries, virtual machines or game installs will exhaust the space quickly. 32GB of DDR4 memory gives generous headroom for multitasking and browser tabs, but the integrated UHD 620 graphics and 15W quad-core CPU cap 3D and sustained compute workloads.
