Versatile 8-in-1 optical hub

This external LG drive combines a DVD burner, CD reader, writer and rewriter with two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports and two TF/SD card slots. It handles disc playback, data burning, software installation and media ripping for laptops and desktops. Note that SD and TF cards cannot be used at the same time.

DVD 8X and CD 24X performance

Maximum DVD write and read speeds reach 8X while CD write and read speeds reach 24X over a USB 3.0 link rated at 5 Gbps or 625 MB/s. The drive also supports DVD+R DL at 8X and includes error correction with anti-skip and quiet operation. It is not compatible with Blu-ray or 4K discs.

Wide OS support with plug-and-play setup

The drive works with Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP, 2000, ME, 98 and SE, plus Linux and all Mac OS versions. It connects without extra drivers, though Mac OS only shows the device icon after a disc is inserted and read. Region code must be set for DVD playback. Incompatible with tablets, phones, TVs, Chrome OS and car stereos.
