SATA interface limits cable length

The drive uses a standard SATA data connection and requires a SATA power plug. The kit supplies a 4-pin to dual SATA power cable that can feed two drives from one connector. Maximum SATA cable length is governed by the SATA specification, not by this drive. No special drivers are needed for Windows, Linux or other SATA-supported operating systems.

Simple 5.25 inch bay installation

Four mounting screws and a SATA data cable are provided for quick fitting into a standard half-height bay. The dual SATA power cable splits to power a second drive if required.
