Industrial RS232/RS485 to Ethernet converter
This development board bridges legacy serial equipment to Ethernet networks using an M4 series 32-bit ARM processor running at up to 120MHz. It provides independent RS232 and RS485 ports that operate simultaneously without mutual interference. The unit is designed for industrial environments requiring bi-directional transparent data transmission between serial and RJ45 interfaces. Configuration is handled through a built-in web page.
10/100M Auto-MDI/MDIX Ethernet interface
The network port negotiates 10 or 100 megabits per second and automatically corrects for crossover or straight-through cabling. Serial side bandwidth is limited by the RS232 and RS485 electrical standards rather than the Ethernet link speed. Both serial ports share the single Ethernet connection, so aggregate throughput cannot exceed the 100Mbit physical layer. Latency and determinism depend on the TCP/IP stack implementation in the firmware.
Dual serial ports operating independently
The board exposes one RS232 and one RS485 interface that function concurrently, each maintaining its own transparent data path to the network. This specific dual-port architecture is the deciding factor: applications needing only a single serial channel or requiring multiple ports of the same type will not match this hardware. Developers can integrate using socket-based examples for VB, C++, Delphi, Android or iOS host software.

商品問答
Should I use the RS232 port, the RS485 port, or both for my project?
Both RS232 and RS485 ports can operate independently at the same time without interfering with each other, so you can connect two different serial devices simultaneously.
What does the 120MHz ARM processor actually do for data throughput?
The M4 series 32-bit ARM processor running up to 120MHz handles the bi-directional transparent data translation between the serial interfaces and the 10/100M Ethernet link.
Is the 10/100M Ethernet port fast enough for industrial automation traffic?
The 10/100M Auto-MDI/MDIX interface handles standard industrial serial-to-Ethernet conversion, accepting both cross-over and straight-through cables without manual configuration.
