The LR-LINK LREC9702EF-2SFP is a PCI Express x4 network card with two SFP cages for 1000 Mbps fibre or copper links. Built around the Intel 82576 controller, it targets servers and workstations that need redundant or aggregated Gigabit connections in a single slot. Wake-on-LAN support allows remote power management in managed environments.

Upgrade from single-port or onboard Gigabit

Replacing a single-port NIC or motherboard port adds a second independent link for failover or link aggregation without consuming an extra slot. The step up is worthwhile when a server must maintain connectivity during a cable or transceiver fault, or when bandwidth beyond one gigabit is needed through teaming. Boards lacking a free x4 or wider slot cannot use this card.

Fits x4 x8 or x16 slots with low-profile

The adapter operates on PCI Express 2.0 at 2.5 GT/s and is mechanically compatible with x4 x8 and x16 slots. Both low-profile and full-height brackets are supported, so it fits 1U racks as well as tower chassis. SFP transceivers and patch cables are required separately. Driver support spans Windows 7 through 10 and Server 2003 R2 through 2019 R2, Linux kernels 2.6.32 and later, plus VMware ESXi 5.x and 6.x.
