The LUOM E02 connects any standard 2.5in or 3.5in SATA or IDE hard drive to a computer through an available USB 3.0 port. It also supports DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-RW and DVD+RW optical drives. The adapter works with Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS without requiring driver installation. It is built for users who need to access data from legacy or mixed-interface drives quickly.

Plug-and-Play Installation

The adapter operates on a plug-and-play basis with no driver needed for major operating systems. A dual-head IDE connector provides both 40-pin and 44-pin connections alongside a SATA III connector. An included 12V DC power supply is required for 3.5in drives and optical devices. An on/off switch allows safe power control before connecting or disconnecting drives.

Capacity and Transfer Headroom

The adapter supports drives with a capacity of up to 6 TB. USB 3.0 delivers transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports. LED indicators show power and data activity status for both IDE and SATA connections. Drives larger than 6 TB are not supported by this adapter.
