Four-bay 3.5-inch SATA enclosure

The Mediasonic HF7-SU31C holds four 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs, each up to 30 TB. It connects through a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with a 10 Gbps link. The metal and plastic chassis includes a revised front door with an air intake and a temperature-controlled fan.

Verify host port and drive brackets

Your computer must provide a USB-C port that can run at 10 Gbps to reach the enclosure’s peak throughput. The tray mechanism is built for 3.5-inch drives; 2.5-inch SATA drives need a separate bracket adapter that is not included. No RAID controller is present inside the unit.

Included cable, power and tools

A 3.3 ft USB-C to USB-C cable with an E-Mark IC, an AC adapter with power cord, four drive handles, eight mounting screws and a screwdriver ship in the box. The bundle lets you install drives and connect to Windows 10 or 11, macOS 10.8 or later, or Linux without extra purchases. Software RAID can be configured on the host if desired.
