The Micron 5300 Pro is a 2.5-inch SATA solid-state drive built for read-intensive data-centre workloads. It suits operators who need consistent performance for media streaming, online transaction processing, virtualisation or object storage. The 3.84TB capacity fits standard drive bays and hot-plug backplanes.

Power loss protection and secure firmware

On-board power loss protection safeguards both data at rest and data in flight during unexpected outages. Secure firmware helps prevent unauthorised code execution on the drive itself. Hot-pluggable design allows replacement without shutting down the host server.

8410 TBW endurance and 1-2 DWPD rating

The drive is rated for 8410 terabytes written over five years, equivalent to roughly one to two full drive writes per day. Sequential reads reach 540 MB/s and writes 520 MB/s, with 95K random read IOPS and 22K random write IOPS.
