Thermals and power in normal use

The board draws power through standard ATX and CPU connectors and runs without active chipset cooling. The Realtek RTL8111H controller provides 1Gbps wired LAN while the pre-installed Wi-Fi 6E module adds 2.4, 5 and 6GHz wireless with MU-MIMO and Bluetooth 5.3. No onboard RGB lighting keeps power draw low and visual distraction minimal.

Build quality and daily connectivity

A steel-armoured PCIe 4.0 x16 slot is reinforced with extra solder points to hold heavy graphics cards. Two M.2 sockets handle 2280, 2260 and 2242 drives; the CPU-linked slot runs PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA and the chipset-linked slot runs PCIe 3.0 x4. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports support RAID 0, 1 and 10.
