Compact Z390 platform for small builds

This Mini-ITX motherboard uses the Intel Z390 chipset with an LGA 1151 socket for 8th and 9th Generation Intel Core processors. It supports dual-channel DDR4 memory up to 64 GB and 4600 MHz. The board provides one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, four SATA III ports and an M.2 interface for storage. It is intended for compact gaming or workstation systems.

Thermals and power delivery in daily use

The 10-phase power design feeds the CPU through an 8-pin connector with heatsinks on the VRM and M.2 areas. A dedicated header allows a PWM fan for active airflow. Realtek ALC892 audio and 8111H Gigabit LAN run from the chipset without extra controllers. Rear I/O includes two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and additional headers for front-panel USB 3.1 Gen 1.

Behaviour under sustained load

The heatsinked VRM and M.2 zones help maintain stable voltage during extended sessions. The single PCIe 3.0 x16 slot runs at full electrical width for graphics or add-in cards. Four SATA III ports and the M.2 interface remain available for high-capacity storage arrays. Builders who need more than one full-length expansion slot or more than 64 GB of memory should consider a larger form factor.
