Socket and chipset

The MSI Z77A-GD55 uses the Intel Z77 chipset and an LGA 1155 socket. It accepts third-generation Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors as well as Pentium and Celeron models. The board follows the ATX form factor for standard desktop builds.

Memory and expansion
