Z97 chipset ATX motherboard
The MSI Z97 PC Mate uses the Intel Z97 chipset on an ATX form factor with an LGA 1150 socket. It accepts Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors and provides four 240-pin memory slots supporting dual-channel memory up to 32 GB. One PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and one PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot handle graphics cards.
Connectivity and expansion
Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for storage arrays. Rear I/O includes HDMI video output, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports and two PS/2 connectors. Gigabit LAN uses a Realtek 8111G controller and 8-channel audio is driven by a Realtek ALC887 codec.
