The mthstec Xingzuan-LGKL-002 is a new external optical drive for users who need to read or write Blu-ray, DVD and CD media on laptops or desktops. It connects through either a USB 3.0 or Type-C port and requires no separate power supply.
Sustained 6x Blu-ray and 8x DVD speeds
During extended sessions the drive maintains 6x Blu-ray read, 8x DVD read and 24x CD read rates rather than dropping back after a short burst. The USB 3.0 link runs at 5 Gbps, roughly ten times the bandwidth of USB 2.0, so large backups keep moving without throttling.
