DDR5 4800 CL40 Registered Limits

The modules run at DDR5 4800 with a CAS latency of CL40 at 1.1V. Registered signalling and ECC add command and address buffering plus single-bit error correction, which increases latency versus unbuffered memory. The 1Rx4 organisation caps rank-level parallelism on each channel.

Tool-Less DIMM Installation

Each 288-pin RDIMM seats vertically in the server’s memory slots; no tools are required beyond opening the chassis. Alignment keys prevent backward insertion. The main risk is mixing registered ECC modules with unbuffered or non-ECC DIMMs, which the platform will not accept.
