Capacity and purpose

This kit supplies 256 GB of DDR5 server memory across two 128 GB modules. It is built for registered DIMM slots that require ECC and 2Rx4 organisation. It is not for standard desktop or laptop computers that accept only unbuffered memory.

Interface limits

The modules run at DDR5 6400 with a CAS latency of 52 and operate at 1.1 V. They conform to the PC5 51200 data-rate specification and use the 288-pin RDIMM form factor. Systems that do not support registered ECC DDR5 at this speed cannot use the kit.

Build and connectors

Each DIMM uses major OEM chips from Samsung, Micron or Hynix and carries a registered buffer for signal integrity in multi-module configurations. The 288-pin edge connector fits only DDR5 RDIMM sockets, so the motherboard must provide the matching keying and electrical support.
