The load-reduced design and ECC support target enterprise servers and workstations that require high capacity and data integrity. Modules operate at 1.2V and use a 288-pin form factor. The kit is validated for the ASRock Rack EPYCD8-2T motherboard.

Suits EPYCD8-2T memory expansion

System builders populating the ASRock Rack EPYCD8-2T with maximum registered ECC capacity will find the correct speed, voltage and rank configuration in this kit. Environments that need unbuffered UDIMMs, non-ECC modules or speeds other than DDR4-2933 should select a different product. The 4Rx4 organisation also requires a platform that supports load-reduced DIMMs.

4Rx4 load-reduced organisation

Each 64GB module presents a 4Rx4 rank structure that reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing the platform to run four DIMMs per channel at the rated 2933MT/s. If the target server only accepts single-rank or dual-rank registered DIMMs, this kit will not be compatible.
