64 GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM kit

This kit provides two 32 GB registered DIMMs for servers and workstations that require error-correcting memory. It is built for the ASRock Rack ROMED8-2T motherboard and AMD EPYC platforms. Systems needing unbuffered or non-ECC modules cannot use this kit.

DDR4 3200 registered limits

Registered DDR4 at 3200 MT/s adds a clock cycle of buffering that stabilises heavy loads but prevents use in consumer boards that expect unbuffered DIMMs. The 288-pin form factor fits only DDR4 RDIMM slots, not UDIMM or SO-DIMM sockets. Mixing with unbuffered memory will prevent the system from posting.

CL22 latency at 1.20 V

The modules run at CAS latency 22 with a standard 1.20 V supply, a timing that the memory controller must support natively. If the platform forces a lower latency or a higher voltage, these DIMMs will not train at the rated speed.
