The Nest GA02411-US combines a 1080p network camera with dual motion-activated floodlights for outdoor security. It connects through wired power or battery backup and uses 2.4 / 5.0 GHz wireless N for network access. The 1/2.8" CMOS sensor captures 2 MP video at 30 fps with a 130° diagonal field of view. Two-way audio lets you speak to visitors from the app.

1920 x 1080 resolution with 20 ft night vision

The camera streams at 1920 x 1080 pixels and provides night vision up to 20' or 6.1 m in darkness. Digital zoom allows closer inspection of recorded detail. The fixed 130° diagonal field of view covers a wide area but cannot be adjusted optically. Battery operation is available, though continuous recording and floodlight use will reduce runtime between charges.

Wired or battery power with wireless N connectivity

Installation requires a hard-wired connection for continuous power or relies on the internal battery for flexible placement. The unit mounts on walls or eaves and measures 3.66 inches by 12.4 inches. Wireless N on 2.4 / 5.0 GHz bands links the camera to the home network without Ethernet cabling. Builders needing Power over Ethernet or local storage expansion should look elsewhere.
