IEEE 802.3 Limits and Practical Throughput

The switch complies with 802.3ab, 802.3u and 802.3i, so each port tops out at 1000 Mbps full-duplex. Flow control follows 802.3x, while 802.1p and DSCP give basic QoS for traffic prioritisation. Jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes pass through the 128 KB buffer, but the 2K MAC table and single switching layer cap the total simultaneous conversations. No PoE support means attached cameras or phones need their own power supplies.

Unmanaged Layer-Two Operation Decides Fit

Because the device is strictly Layer 2 unmanaged, it cannot segment traffic with VLANs, run link aggregation or provide any remote monitoring. Buyers who need port-level security, traffic shaping or SNMP visibility must choose a managed or smart-managed model instead. The 5 V, 0.7 A external adapter draws 2.15 W at peak and 0.31 W idle, and the unit operates from 0 to 40 °C with up to 90 % relative humidity.
