The NZXT Function 2 MiniTKL is a wired tenkeyless keyboard built around NZXT Swift Optical Switches with a 0.2 ms response time and a dual actuation point. Its 8,000 Hz polling rate transmits input signals four times faster than typical gaming keyboards. Doubleshot PBT keycaps and a 5000 series aluminium frame provide durability for extended sessions.

Thermals, noise and power

Optical switches generate negligible heat and draw minimal power over the USB connection, so thermals are not a concern during normal use. Pre-lubed switches combined with plate-mounted stabilizers and a dual-layer of sound-dampening foam reduce acoustic output for a quieter typing experience. The linear Gateron Red-style feel keeps keystrokes smooth without a tactile bump.

Build integration

The compact 338.5 x 123.4 x 40.3 mm footprint frees desk space for mouse movement while retaining all essential tenkeyless keys. A detachable USB cable simplifies cable routing and transport.
