USB 3.0 to SATA Adapter
This Orico adapter connects a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive or SSD to a USB 3.0 port. It supports UASP protocol for speeds up to 5 Gbps and includes a Type-C 5V power port for larger drives. The cable length is 0.3 m. It works with Windows, Linux, Mac OS and Android without drivers.
Thermals Noise and Power
The adapter draws power from the USB port and the optional Type-C 5V input for drives up to 6 TB. No fan or active cooling is present so operation is silent. Power consumption scales with the attached drive. The short cable keeps voltage drop low during normal file transfers.
Sustained Load Behaviour
Under continuous read or write workloads the test speed reaches 480 MB/s. UASP support helps maintain throughput during long transfers. The Type-C power port ensures stable current for high-capacity drives. Thermal throttling is not a factor because the adapter has no controller heat sink.

商品問答
How do I connect the 0.3m USB 3.0 to SATA adapter to a 2.5 inch drive and what step is often missed?
Plug the SATA connector into the 2.5 inch drive, then insert the USB 3.0 plug into the host. The step often missed is using the reserved Type-C 5V power port when the drive needs more current than the USB port supplies.
What part of the adapter will need replacement first with regular use?
The 0.3m cable and its USB 3.0 connector see the most physical stress. Repeated bending or unplugging can wear the contacts or fray the sheath, so the cable assembly is the item most likely to need replacing.
What speed limit appears first during a long, large-file transfer?
The USB 3.0 link caps sustained throughput at 5Gbps, and real-world tests top out near 480M/s. Under continuous load the interface bandwidth is the first bottleneck, not the SATA 3.0 drive itself.
