OWC 128GB DDR3L 1600 ECC RDIMM Kit

This 128GB kit contains four 32GB DDR3L 1600 CL11 modules built to the PC3L-12800 standard. It is intended for Supermicro SuperServer 2027PR, 2027R, 2027TR, 2028UT and 4027GR systems that require registered ECC memory. The modules are not compatible with standard desktop platforms or unbuffered DIMM slots.

Registered ECC DDR3L for Supermicro Servers

Each 240-pin DIMM operates at 1.35V and uses a 4Rx4 organisation with on-board register and error-correcting code. The registered design reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing all four slots to be populated in supported SuperServer chassis. Mixing these modules with unbuffered memory is not supported by the platform.

Sustained Load Behaviour in Qualified Systems

Under continuous server workloads the registered buffer and ECC logic maintain data integrity across all ranks without parity errors. The 1.35V DDR3L voltage keeps power draw within the thermal envelope of the target SuperServer platforms during extended operation. Systems needing unbuffered memory or higher frequencies cannot use this kit.
