This kit provides 256GB of DDR3L ECC Load Reduced memory across eight 32GB modules for Cisco UCS C24 M3, C240 M3 and C420 M3 servers. It runs at 1600 MT/s with CL11 latency at 1.35V. The modules are built to JEDEC specifications and intended for workstation or server platforms only.

ECC Load Reduced design changes compatibility

Load Reduced DIMMs reduce electrical load on the memory bus, allowing higher capacities per channel than standard registered DIMMs. They cannot be mixed with unbuffered or standard ECC registered modules. The 4Rx4 organisation supports dense configurations in the listed Cisco systems.

DDR3L 1600 interface limits total bandwidth

The DDR3L 1600 standard caps data rate at PC3L-12800, which bounds maximum throughput regardless of module count. Voltage is fixed at 1.35V, so power draw scales with population. Systems not validated for 240-pin DDR3L LRDIMMs will not accept these modules.
