This OWC kit provides 2 TB of DDR4 memory across eight 256 GB LRDIMM modules running at 2933 MHz with CL21 latency. It is built for servers and workstations that require error-correcting load-reduced DIMMs rather than standard unbuffered or registered memory.

Check motherboard slot count and memory type

The target board must be the Supermicro H12SST-PS with enough 288-pin slots for eight modules and support for ECC load-reduced DIMMs at 1.2 V. This memory cannot be mixed with unbuffered or ECC registered modules, so all existing DIMMs must be removed or match the same specification.

Sustained operation at rated speed

Each module operates continuously at 2933 MHz (PC4-23400) with CL21 timings and 1.2 V under full load. The load-reduced design reduces electrical loading on the memory bus, helping maintain signal integrity when all eight slots are populated for long-running server workloads.
