ECC Registered DDR4 Kit

This OWC kit supplies 32GB of DDR4 2666 ECC registered memory in a 4 x 8GB configuration. It targets administrators upgrading Synology FlashStation FS3400, FS3410 and FS3600 units or equivalent workstation and NAS platforms that require registered DIMMs. Standard desktop boards cannot use these modules.

Capacity and Headroom

The 32GB total (4 x 8GB) fills four slots with single-rank 1Rx4 modules rated CL19 at 1.2V. Registered buffering and ECC protect data integrity under sustained server workloads. Systems needing more than 32GB or load-reduced DIMMs must look elsewhere. Mixing with unbuffered or LR-DIMM memory is not supported.

Build and Connectors

Each stick uses the 288-pin RDIMM form factor without a heat spreader, keeping height low for dense chassis. Gold-edge contacts meet JEDEC and RoHS standards. Backward compatibility with 2133MHz and 2400MHz buses allows deployment in older slots while running at the rated 2666MHz speed where supported.
