Eight 8 GB DDR3-1600 ECC registered modules provide 64 GB of error-correcting server memory at 1.5 V
Capacity 64GB (8 x 8GB)
This OWC kit supplies 64GB of DDR3 ECC registered memory across eight 8GB modules. Each DIMM runs at 1600MHz with CL11 latency and operates at 1.5V. The 240-pin RDIMM form factor is built for workstations and servers that require registered, error-correcting memory.
Suitable for administrators upgrading compatible workstations, servers, NAS systems or routers that accept DDR3 ECC registered RDIMMs. Not suitable for standard desktop PCs, laptops or any platform that uses unbuffered memory, as registered modules will not function in those systems.
The modules are DDR3 ECC registered RDIMMs; this single attribute determines fitment. Only systems explicitly designed for registered error-correcting DDR3 can use this kit.

The kit runs at 1600 MHz with a maximum bandwidth of PC3-12800 and CL11 latency, so throughput is limited to that JEDEC standard.
Each module is a 240-pin DDR3 ECC Registered DIMM that fits only server or workstation boards with matching registered DIMM slots.
Install all eight 8 GB sticks in the correct channel order for the platform; the step often missed is verifying the board requires registered ECC memory and cannot accept unbuffered DIMMs.
