This registered DIMM delivers 8GB of DDR3L memory at 1600 MT/s with CL11 latency and 1.35 V operation. It targets administrators upgrading or repairing Supermicro X9DAL, X9DAX, X9DB3, X9DBi or X9DBL platforms that require ECC registered modules.

Replaces Supermicro MEMDR380LHL07ER16

The module directly substitutes Supermicro part numbers MEMDR380LHL07ER16, MEMDR380LSL10ER16, MEMDR380LSL14ER16 and MEMDR380LSV04ER16. The upgrade is worthwhile when existing capacity limits virtualization density or when unbuffered memory causes instability in these workstation and server boards.

Limited to DDR3L 240-pin registered channels

The 240-pin DDR3L interface caps bandwidth at PC3L-12800 and requires a registered memory controller. It will not function in consumer desktop boards that accept only unbuffered DIMMs, nor can it be mixed with unbuffered modules on the same channel. Buyers needing higher throughput or newer DDR generations must choose a different platform.
