This OWC 8GB DDR3L 1600 module is an ECC registered RDIMM built for Supermicro SuperServer 1027 and 2027 series systems. It operates at 1.35V with CL11 latency and a 1Rx4 rank configuration. The 240-pin form factor fits server and workstation boards that require registered memory. It will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered modules.
The module runs at the low-voltage DDR3L standard of 1.35V, reducing power consumption compared with 1.5V DDR3. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow across the DIMM slots handles cooling. Registered buffering adds minimal latency while improving signal integrity under sustained server workloads. Acoustic impact is negligible in typical chassis designs.
