Kit contents

This kit supplies three sizes of tactile switches plus three rotary potentiometers in a single pack. You receive five pieces each of 3 mm, 6 mm and 12 mm switches, plus caps for the 12 mm size. Potentiometer values are 1k, 10k and 100k for different resistance ranges.

The potentiometers and tactile switches are passive components that generate no heat and make no noise during continuous use.

What microcontroller board or breadboard must I already have to connect the 3 mm, 6 mm and 12 mm tactile switches?

You need a microcontroller such as a Raspberry Pi Pico or Arduino with free GPIO pins, plus a breadboard or perfboard for wiring the switches and potentiometers.

Will the 12 mm switches with their circular and square caps fit the same panel cut-outs as the older 10 mm switches I already own?

The 12 mm switches require a larger mounting hole than 10 mm units, so existing panel cut-outs for smaller switches will not match.
