This licence adds four recording channels to a QVR Pro installation running on a compatible QNAP NAS. It is intended for surveillance deployments that need to expand camera coverage beyond the base allocation. Activation requires an existing QVR Pro Gold licence on the same device. The product is a software accessory, not a hardware appliance.

Gold licence prerequisite

The four-channel entitlement can only be applied once QVR Pro Gold is already active on the Turbo NAS. Without the Gold tier the licence cannot be enabled. Supported platforms are 64-bit x86 NAS models with at least 64 GB of RAM. The operating system must be QTS 4.3.4.0483 build 20180213 or later and Container Station 1.6.1588 or later installed before QVR Pro runs.

128-channel system ceiling

QVR Pro caps total recording channels at 128 across the entire NAS, so this four-channel pack consumes part of that maximum. The real-world limit varies with camera resolution, codec choice and recording schedule. Buyers whose projects will exceed 128 channels need a different architecture rather than additional licence packs.
