The Reolink RLK8-800D-A is a 4K PoE NVR kit that includes an 8-channel recorder with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive and four 8MP wired cameras. It is designed for homeowners or small businesses that want continuous 24/7 recording with person and vehicle detection to reduce false alerts.

Channel capacity

The NVR supports up to eight PoE IP cameras through its built-in ports, and the kit provides four cameras to start. You can add more Reolink PoE or compatible WiFi cameras later, but the total number of connected cameras must not exceed eight.

Installation and expansion

Each camera connects with a single Ethernet cable up to 330ft long, carrying both power and data for a true plug-and-play setup. The recorder offers HDMI and VGA outputs for local monitoring, and the 2TB drive can be expanded if more storage is needed. Remote access is available via Reolink apps for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, supporting up to 19 user accounts and 12 simultaneous viewers.
