Check your motherboard first

You need a free PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 slot wired for at least x4 electrical lanes; x8 and x16 slots also work. If the slot is only PCIe 2.0 or 1.0 the link will run slower than 10Gbps. The card carries ASM3124 and VL822 controllers. Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 (32 and 64 bit) and Mac OS 10.8.2 or later are supported, though Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Server editions require a separate ASMedia driver.

A low-profile bracket is included so the card fits slim chassis as well as standard towers. External Type-A and Type-C ports sit at the rear for permanent peripherals or quick attach drives.
