This 32 GB kit contains two 16 GB DDR4 modules built for servers and workstations that require error-correcting memory. Each stick runs at 3200 MHz with a CAS latency of CL22 and operates at 1.2 V. The unbuffered 2Rx8 design fits standard 288-pin DDR4 slots.

Unbuffered ECC limits

ECC UDIMMs work only on platforms whose memory controllers support error correction on unbuffered modules. Many consumer desktop chipsets ignore the ECC function or refuse to boot with these modules installed. Registered or load-reduced memory cannot be mixed with this kit.

2Rx8 dual-rank organisation

The dual-rank 2Rx8 layout puts two ranks on each 16 GB module, giving the memory controller more open rows for parallel access. Systems limited to single-rank modules per channel may not recognise the full capacity or may run at reduced speed.
