Storage density

The Rosewill HEARTH NAS chassis supports up to six 3.5 inch hot-swap hard drives and six 2.5 inch SSDs behind a single front panel. Two external 5.25 inch bays remain free for optical drives or accessory cages. An ATX power supply fits in the standard mounting area.

Builder fit

The case accepts motherboards up to 12 by 13 inch E-ATX, plus ATX and Mini-ATX form factors. Ten expansion slots give room for multiple add-in cards such as RAID controllers or network adapters. Front I/O provides one USB 3.0 port and one USB 3.2 Type-C port for quick external access. Builders who need more than six hot-swap bays or a smaller footprint should look at a different enclosure.

Thermal behaviour

Five pre-installed 120 mm PWM fans deliver adjustable airflow across the drive bays and motherboard tray. A side radiator mount accepts units up to 240 mm for liquid-cooled CPUs during long rebuilds or transcoding sessions. Fan speed ramps with temperature so noise stays proportional to load rather than running at constant maximum.
