This 500GB internal SSD uses the M.2 2280 form factor and a SATA III interface. It is built for consumer workloads such as creative applications, office productivity and general system responsiveness. The drive offers sequential reads up to 560 MBps and writes up to 510 MBps. Random performance reaches 90,000 read IOPS and 82,000 write IOPS.

SATA III practical limits

The SATA III interface caps throughput at 6 Gbps, so real-world speeds cannot exceed the drive's rated 560 MBps read and 510 MBps write. Endurance is rated at 200 TBW with an MTTF of 1.75M hours. Power draw is low at 36 mW idle and 50 mW average active, helping laptop battery life. Operating temperature spans 0 °C to 70 °C.

M.2 slot and SATA wiring check

Verify that your motherboard or laptop provides an M.2 slot keyed for SATA signalling and that the BIOS recognises SATA M.2 devices.
