The Seagate Archive HDD v2 ST5000AS0011 is a 5TB 3.5-inch internal hard drive built for cold data storage. It runs at 5900 RPM with a 128MB cache on a SATA 6.0Gb/s interface. The drive targets users who need high-capacity, low-cost archiving rather than active workloads.

SMR technology and PowerChoice reduce power draw

Shingled magnetic recording enables the low cost per terabyte and the RV-balanced design supports high-density environments.
