Rackmount Server Chassis 4U

The SilverStone SST-RM4A is a 4U rackmount server chassis built from steel with a black finish. It accepts ATX, Extended ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ITX, SSI CEB and SSI EEB motherboards and uses a standard PS2 ATX power supply. Front I/O includes one USB Type-C port and two USB 3.0 ports for local access.

Storage Density And Expansion Limits

The chassis holds two 3.5-inch bays that also accept three 2.5-inch drives plus four dedicated 2.5-inch bays, giving eight PCI expansion slots for add-in cards. Builds needing more than six internal drives or more than eight full-height cards will exceed the available bays and slots.

Sustained Thermal Behaviour

Front cooling supports three 120mm fans or a single 360mm radiator alongside combinations of 120mm and 240mm radiators, while the rear mounts two 80mm fans. CPU cooler clearance reaches 148mm without the expansion card retainer and 137mm with it fitted, and the power supply length limit is 255mm.
