The SKB iSeries 2RU Waterproof Wheeled Server Chassis is a new injection-moulded fly rack case designed to protect shallow rackmount equipment during transport. It suits audio engineers, video technicians and broadcast crews who move recording interfaces, switchers or wireless receivers between venues. The integrated wheels and pull-out handle make solo transport practical.

9-inch rack depth

The single specification that decides fit is the 9 inch rail-to-rail depth, which accommodates only shallow devices such as half-rack interfaces or compact receivers. Deeper servers, full-size switchers or multi-slot chassis will not mount in this frame. Buyers needing more internal depth must choose a different case.

Two-unit capacity with accessory pockets

The 2U removable shock rack cage holds two rack units of gear, while moulded pockets below each rack store cables and small accessories. PE foam lining protects protruding knobs and buttons during transit. The watertight gasket seal and pressure valve meet MIL-STD 810G ratings, and the case stays under 62 linear inches to avoid oversize baggage fees.
