This adapter converts a 1.8-inch mSATA SSD to a standard 7+15Pin SATA interface. It includes a SATA to USB 2.0 cable so the drive can be used as portable external storage. The solution targets users who want to reuse spare mSATA drives for backup, testing or data migration. It does not support M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA drives.

Capacity and headroom

The adapter passes through the native speed of the installed mSATA SSD over a SATA link, then bridges to USB 2.0 for external access.
