The SMUGDESK PH42 adapter lets a desktop or workstation run one M.2 NVMe drive and one NGFF SATA drive at the same time through a single PCIe slot. It accepts MKey, BKey and B+MKey modules for broad compatibility with existing solid-state storage.

Builders adding high-speed NVMe capacity alongside a legacy SATA SSD will benefit from the simultaneous 32Gbps and 6Gbps channels. Systems with only one M.2 slot on the motherboard, or cases lacking a free PCIe X4, X8 or X16 slot, cannot use this card.
