The Sony BRCX400/W is a network camera built for live production, conferencing and remote monitoring. It captures 3840 x 2160 video through a 1/2.5 Exmor R CMOS sensor with approximately 8.5M pixels. Pan, tilt and zoom are motorised for remote framing. The white body includes HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs alongside IP streaming.

Network limits and protocol support

Video travels over IPv4 or IPv6 using TCP, UDP, RTP/RTCP, RTSP, HTTP, HTTPS and VISCA over IP. Power over Ethernet follows IEEE 802.3at, while a DC input accepts 10.8 to 13.2 V. The camera also supports DHCP, DNS, UPnP, ARP, ICMP and IGMP for integration into managed networks. Bandwidth and latency depend on the chosen codec and network infrastructure.
