Seven USB 3.0 ports on one card

The Sponge Tech PCI-E expansion card adds two Type C and five Type A ports to a desktop system through a single PCI Express slot. It delivers up to 5Gbps transfer rates and supplies 5V 0.9A on each Type A port plus 5V 3A on the Type C ports for low-power peripherals. Windows 10 and Mac OS 10.8.2 or later work without drivers; older Windows versions need the supplied driver.

Desktop owners who need more USB 3.0 connections

Builders with a free PCI Express x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot can add keyboards, mice, drives, cameras, controllers and other USB devices in one step. The card fits standard desktop cases and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 gear. It does not suit laptops, small-form-factor systems without a full-height slot, or anyone who needs video output from the added ports.
