The StarTech 35FCREADBK3 is a 3.5" internal card reader that adds front-panel access to 22 flash memory formats. It targets desktop builders and photographers who need to offload images from multiple card types without reaching behind the chassis. Six slots allow simultaneous access to different media, streamlining multi-card workflows. The unit connects via an internal USB 2.0 header using the supplied 9-pin IDC cable.

Black Steel Chassis and Mounting

The reader fits a standard 3.5" drive bay and ships with mounting screws for a secure installation. Its black finish blends with typical front-panel aesthetics while the compact 5.1" x 4.1" x 1" footprint leaves room for adjacent drives. The internal USB 2.0 connection requires an available motherboard header; systems lacking a spare header cannot use the device without an additional controller.
