The card supports SuperSpeed data rates up to 5.0 Gbps and includes an optional 15-pin SATA power connector that can supply up to 900mA per port for power-hungry peripherals. A low-profile bracket is supplied for installation in compact chassis.

Upgrade from USB 2.0 or Missing Ports

The card replaces older USB 2.0 add-in cards or fills the gap on motherboards that lack native USB 3.0 headers, delivering a tenfold increase in theoretical bandwidth to 5 Gbps.
