The Supermicro MBD-X12SPI-TF-O is an ATX motherboard for single-socket Intel Xeon Scalable processors using the LGA 4189 socket. It targets builders who need a compact platform for 3rd Gen Xeon CPUs with up to 270 W TDP. The Intel C621A chipset manages I/O across the board. Eight DDR4 slots and mixed PCIe 4.0 lanes

Eight 288-pin slots accept DDR4 3200 RDIMM or LRDIMM up to 2 TB total, plus Intel Optane Persistent Memory 200 Series. Expansion includes two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, two PCIe 4.0 x8 slots and one PCIe 4.0 x8 wired into an x16 slot. Storage connectivity covers ten SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and one M.2 M-key slot supporting 2280 or 22110 drives on SATA or PCIe 3.0 x4.

Dual 10 GbE and basic video

Networking relies on two Intel X550 controllers delivering two RJ45 ports at 10 Gbps each. Rear I/O adds two USB 2.0 and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, while internal headers provide two more of each. The Aspeed AST2600 provides basic 2D display output for management consoles. The board lacks onboard Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or additional high-speed networking beyond the two 10 GbE links.
