This 2U rackmount system arrives with two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors, each running 14 cores at 2.4 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo. The 512 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory is installed across 16 modules, leaving 8 DIMM slots free for expansion up to 1.5 TB. It targets teams that need high core counts and large memory capacity for virtualisation hosts, database clusters or cloud workloads.
Twelve hot-swap bays and quad 10GBase-T networking
The chassis provides 12 front-accessible 3.5″ trays for SATA or SAS drives, backed by an LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Four RJ45 10GBase-T ports from the Intel X540 adapter deliver high-throughput networking without extra cards. A dedicated IPMI 2.0 LAN port enables KVM-over-LAN and virtual media for full out-of-band management.
Redundant titanium power supplies sustain
Dual 1000 W titanium-efficiency power supplies share the load and allow hot-swap replacement, keeping the system running during maintenance or a unit failure. The power design supports sustained operation of both CPUs, full memory population and a full complement of spinning drives without throttling. The Matrox G200 graphics with 8 MB video memory handles console output only, so GPU compute tasks are not supported.
