Platform Limits

The LGA 2011-3 platform caps memory at 24 DDR4 slots and processors at 145 W TDP, so very large memory footprints or higher-core-count CPUs require a newer generation. The 8-port RAID controller serves only eight drives directly; the remaining 28 bays need expander backplanes or additional HBAs. No front bezel or rack rails are included.
